The HYSC 2012G Reign Finish the Spring '24 Season as SJGSL Flight 1 Champions

Highland Youth Soccer Club 2012G Reign 2023-24 players after their final game of the spring '24 SJGSL season.

Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey - Highland Youth Soccer Club's 2012G Reign completed their fall season on November 30 finishing the South Jersey Girls Soccer League flight 2 with a 7-1-2 record, good for 23 points and the top flight champion status.

The 6 team U12 flight included Berlin SC, Egg Harbor SC, Gateway United, Haddonfield United and Voorhees SA.

Although the Reign opened the spring season with a 0-1 loss to Berlin despite thoroughly dominating possession and chances, they bounced back by rattling off 4 consecutive wins catapulting to the top of the table. A pair of draws on back to back game days only temporarily slowed down the point pace before the Reign strung 3 more victories together, clinching the top slot after match week 9. Throughout the season the Reign had contributions from all 14 players throughout the lineup with 10 different players accounting for the 22 goals scored.

Though the flight championship was clinched after week 9 on the strength of total points the Reign capped their season with a 3-2 victory over the Egg Harbor Township Lady Eagles in week 10. Overall, the Reign finished with a 7-1-2 record scoring a 22 goals while conceding only 9 across ten games for a +13 differential, all markers that proved to be best in the flight. The Reign also recorded a league-high 5 clean sheets during seasonal play while allowing the fewest goals against for any team in the U12 division.

The Reign will now fully transition to full-sided game and will be looking to compete up an age year at U14 in SJGSL's Flight 1 during the Fall of 2024 for the opening leg of the 24/25 seasonal year.
