The HYSC 2015 Boys were tournament champions at the 2023 Cinnaminson Thanksgiving Tournament.

Cinnaminson, New Jersey - Highland Youth Soccer Club's 2015 boys were undefeated tournament champions at the 42nd annual Cinnaminson Thanksgiving Tournement on 11/24-26. The boys finished undefeated after 3 matches over SJSL, MOSA, and EDP clubs while conceding only 3 goals in the tournament.

The 4 team U9 flight included the host club Cinnaminson Raptors (SJSL), Lacey Lightning (MOSA), and SJEB FC (EDP).

The 2015 boys began their tournament on Black Friday with a 6-0 win over the Cinnaminson Raptors and followed that strong effort up with a huge 6-1 victory over SJEB FC on Saturday afternoon, setting the boys up for a potential tournament championship on Sunday. Following a modified tournament point system the final day's bracket game results had the potential for any of the top 3 teams in the bracket finishing on top depending on the outcome of the games on Sunday.

Needing either a win or draw to guarantee tournament champion status, Highland went up against the Lacey Lightning in the afternoon on Sunday. The weather conditions at kickoff were cold with steady rain. After a scoreless first half both teams entered halftime level at 0-0. Early in the 2nd half Highland fell behind as Lacey was able to capitalize on the slippery wet field conditions to take the lead. Highland equalized midway through the half before taking a 1 goal lead on a set piece from an indirect free kick just outside the penalty area.

Lacey would level the score at 2-2 with a direct free kick of their own late in the half, but at full time the teams would earn a draw. For Highland, this would mean finishing the tournament undefeated and taking tournament champion trophies.

Overall the 2015 boys finished the tournament with an 2-0-1 record scoring 14 goals while conceeding 3 on the weekend.
